How to access Wyldwoods
Those with experience of mental health issues and other disadvantaged people can access Wyldwoods through referral by their community mental health team, GP or Social Services. They can also access us themselves, using the Direct Payments or Personal Budget Scheme.
Groups and individuals from the wider community can access Wyldwoods through organised workshops, demonstrations, talks and other activities that we provide from time to time. These are sometimes part-funded through grants from charitable organisations. Please contact us if you have any ideas for activites for your group.
We have comprehensive policies and procedures (all available on request) and dedicated insurances for all of our activities.

Schools and colleges
If you have learners who would benefit from informal outdoor education, we can offer a range of meaningful, practical experiences that release potential and provide stimulation for learning.
Schoolteachers can link in with our provision for half/full day sessions throughout the academic school year (prices available on request). We also provide small group sessions for young people at risk of exclusion from education for whatever reason (prices available on request).
We are able to offer a varied range of outdoor practical arts and rural craft activities. We can provide both accredited (Open College Network [OCN]) and in-house certificates as well as the John Muir Award. We tailor our delivery to the needs of individuals involved.
Wyldwoods can provide you and your colleagues with full or half day tailored creative workshops packages, informal team building in a unique setting. We are happy to fit in with your requirements.

Hire the site
Wyldwoods offers a great place to hold work meetings, team building or staff development activities. We have 3.5 acres of beautiful site to hire with indoor and outdoor spaces as well as team building and kitchen facilities. How about a fun DIY children’s party or an after hours celebration? We also offer limited overnight accommodation in a chalet or our Mongolian Yurt. The site is far away from the hustle and bustle of town and the only distractions will be the wildlife and a sense of calm.You could also come to learn a new skill – crafting, pottery, wood turning, green wood carving (*prices vary on numbers and materials). Respite @ Wyldwoods
Occasionally things are tough and people need time to recharge. Why not come to Wyldwoods and spend some time in our relaxing environment in either one of our bespoke rooms or in our yurt. For details please see our Respite Leaflet.
Wyldwoods comes to you!
Wyldwoods has a strong desire to promote the benefits of outdoor work, rural pursuits and skills etc to the wider community. To that end we can always bring expertise and experiences out to you. This means visits to schools, nursing homes, craft fairs, hospitals, shopping malls, scout huts… you name it!

All work produced at Wyldwoods remains the property of the charity, but your work can usually be purchased for a small fee to cover the resources used.
